Claude Searches Web Differently From Claude Code, Data Shows
New research shows that Claude and Claude Code behave very differently when searching the web. Claude used web search in 93% of tested responses, compared with just 13% for Claude Code, while the two products shared only about 20% of brand mentions for the same prompts. The findings suggest marketers should measure Claude and Claude Code separately when optimizing for AI visibility.
