Meta Pushes Its Updated Business Terms Back To Nov. 20
Meta has postponed the implementation of its updated Commercial Terms and Self-Serve Ad Terms from October 30 to November 20, 2026, following concerns from publishers and advertisers. The terms allow Meta to use automated crawlers to collect content from websites associated with businesses using its platforms. Although Meta has removed explicit references to AI training, concerns remain about the scope of its crawling permissions and how website owners can control access through robots.txt. The delay gives Meta more time to explain the changes while regulators in the EU and UK continue reviewing complaints.
